Switch B/S Crooks
Danny García es uno de los skaters mas respetados en la escena, con patrocinios de Royal, ÉS, Habitat entre otros, demuestra que tener confianza en la tabla y patinar solo por el hecho de hacerlo, es lo que consigue las cosas, no tanto el hecho de buscar un nivel o un patrocinio, Danny en 2007 aparece en el último video de Habitat: Inhabitants, donde tiene trucos solidos y siempre con su estilo tan suave.
La siguiente es una entrevista que se dió de forma accidental después de la demo que el, junto con parte del equipo CONS, Benny Fairfax y Raymond Molinar dieron el día 30 de enero en el Balskatepark La Fuente para celebrar el lanzamiento del video Prevent This Tragedy hecho por Thrasher y CONS, video en el que García tiene participación.

Rojovolovan: Is this your first time in Mexico? (es esta tu primera vez en México?)
Danny García: No, I came before like or 4 or 5 years ago (no, vine antes hace como 4 ó 5 año)
RV: When did u have the most fun, this one or that time? (¿cuando te divertiste mas, esta occasion o la anterior?)
DG: definitively this one, last time I came on skate mission ‘n it was in ‘n outta van for filming ‘n eating, that was pretty much it; but this time we got the chance for goin’ to Frida Khalo’s House, wich is awesome, then we went to the downtown, we were also in the metropolitan theatre, it’s been really good, ‘n the demo’s been nice as well. (definitivamente esta, la vez anterior venimos en skate mission y era estar dentro y fuera de la van para filmar y comer, y eso era todo; pero esta vez tuvimos la oportunidad de ir a La Casa de Frida Khalo, que es asombrosa, luego fuimos al centro de la ciudad, también estuvimos en el Teatro metropolitan, ha sido muy bueno, y la demo ha sido muy agradable)
RV: despite the weather? ( ¿a pesar del clima?)
DG: yeah, I mean, it’s been like California, lately it’s been raining a little as well there ( si, es decir, ha estado como en California, ultimamente ha estado un poco lluvioso por alla)
RV: Oh by the way, that b/s tailslide was awesome ! ( oye por cierto, ¡ese b/s tailslide fue incríble!)
DG Thanx !!! (¡gracias!)

RV: So, tell me, how does it feels being a pro skateboarder, havin’ a board ‘n shoes with ur name, how is it like? ( y dime, ¿qué se siente ser un pro skateboarder, tener una tabla y tenis con tu nombre, como es?)
DG: Oh, is just like you expect it to be you know, is crazy having all that, but it just happened to me, I never really did skate with that purpose, it’s something that happened eventually, it’s great tough (oh, es tal como ustedes [los fans] esperan que sea sabes, es todo un rollo, pero simplemente me paso, nunca patine con ese propósito, es algo que pasó eventualmente, es genial)
DG: Tough it’s easier to be pro where I’m from (aunque es mas fácil ser pro de donde yo soy)
RV: Where are you from? (¿de dónde eres?)
DG: Orange County
RV: Oh so u from the OC, where the whole scene is located (entonces eres del OC, donde está toda la escena)
DG: Yeah, up there it’s easier than other places (in the US) to become pro ( sí allá es mas fácil que en otros lugares ( de U.S.A.) convertirse en Pro.
RV: Did you used to skate everyday, like 8 hrs or something really heavy? (¿acostumbrabas patina todo el día, como 8 horas o algo así de pesado?)
DG: Oh no, I used to skate like 4 hrs a day or something, I skated after school, but yeah there was a time when I skated more than even now I guess (oh no, patinaba como 4 horas al día o algo así, patinaba después de la escuela, pero sí, hubo algún tiempo en el que si patinaba incluso mas de lo que ahora lo hago)
( kid approaches ‘n asks to see his board, Danny doesn’t speak Spanish so thinks the kid wants to get the board; so I tell him he just wants to see it: Danny gives the board out n kid is amazed by the set up wich is pretty much new / un niño se acerca y le pide ver su table, Danny no habla español y piensa que el chico quiere quedarse con ella, entonces le digo que solo quiere verla, Danny le extiende su table y el niño se sorprende por el setup, que en su mayoría es nuevo )
DG: why’d he wanted to see my board? (¿Por qué quería ver mi table?)
RV: well most of us (fans) we wanna know how’s our setup different than a pro’s, that leads me to, what’s youur set up like? (bueno es que muchos de nosotros (los fans), queremos saber como es su table diferente a la nuestra, lo que me lleva a la siguiente pregunta: cual es tu setup ahora?)
DG: it’s an 8 inch board, bones bushings, generally my trucks are naturally loose but right now, they’re really tight, but it’s pretty much a new set up (es una table de 8 pulgadas, gomas Bones, generalmente mis trucks estan naturalmente flojos, pero ahora estan bastante ajustados, es en sí un setup Nuevo)
RV: I ride an 8 inch board too ‘n most of my friends are like: oh man, how can u ride that thing? is huge! (yo también uso una table de 8 pulgadas y mis amigos dicen cosas como: diablos, ¿como puedes patinar eso? Es enorme!!!)
DG: yeah it’s weird looking for some other people, but I guess u get customed to it real quick, I always try to switch measures every year, I was riding 7.83 or 7.7 but now this year I’ll b riding 8 inch boards (si, para algunas personas es raro, pero yo pienso que te acostumbras bastante rápido, trato de cambiar medidas cada año, estaba en 7.83 o 7.7, pero este año estare usando tablas de 8 pulgadas)
DG: Are u guys watching the video? (¿van a ver el video chicos?)
RV: sure man, u staying? (claro Viejo, ¿te quedas?)
DG: No I guess I’ll be goin’ back to the van, we’re almost leaving (no creo que regresaré a la Van, ya casi nos vamos)
RV: well, enjoy the rest of ur stay ‘n thanx a lot for the chat, it’s been real nice (bueno disfruten el resto de su estadía y muchas gracias por la plática, ha sido muy agradable)
DG: thank you for stop by the demo is been nice as well, bye (gracias por venir a la demo, también ha sido bastante agradable, bye)
